Appointments and Getting Started
-
Telehealth only for now. In-person visits are pending.
-
No. Own Path does not provide emergency services. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, call or text 988, call 911, or go to the nearest emergency department.
-
This is to see if we are a good fit to work together. It is not a diagnostic interview or treatment appointment. It is an opportunity to understand your needs and how to proceed.
-
No. You must be 18 or older.
-
I recommend that people be seen at least twice per year. Visits may be more frequent depending on individual needs, including safety concerns, medication changes, or controlled medications.
Treatment and Scope
-
Anxiety, depression, PTSD, and bipolar disorder, to name a few.
-
The main services are psychiatric evaluation and medication management. Supportive psychotherapy may be woven into each visit.
-
This is pending. Check back in the future for an update.
Insurance and Payment
-
Accepted plans are Capital Blue Cross Pennsylvania, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna, Aetna, and Geisinger. Tricare and US Family Health Plan are pending and are not currently listed as accepted.
-
Yes. I can provide a superbill. A superbill is not a bill. It is an itemized receipt with the details an insurance company needs to process a patient-submitted reimbursement claim. Ask your insurance company whether it accepts superbills. Reimbursement is not guaranteed.
Policies and Communication
-
Yes, but only for established patients who are actively engaged at Own Path Mental Health.
-
Please provide 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to fees. This policy helps keep times available to other patients waiting.
